Putting Into Operation

CAUTION!
WARNING! Danger of carbon monoxide poisoning! Do not use in enclosed
spaces!
Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible materials (e.g. tablecloths
etc.).
Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re.
Do not place any combustible materials, such as cardboard, plastic, paper or can-
dles, on or in the device.

Inserting / Changing Batteries

4 x 1.5 V batteries, AA type are also required. These are not supplied with the
device.
1. Carefully place the housing (6) with the top facing downwards onto a stable, fl at
surface.
4. Insert four 1.5 V batteries of the AA type. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).
5. Place the battery compartment cover back on the battery compartment (9) and press
it down. When you do this, make sure that it fi ts correctly in the battery compart-
ment (9). The battery compartment cover must be heard to engage in place.
6. Turn the housing (6) the correct way up again.
Replace the batteries when the power starts to wane.
Assembly
1. Set up the housing (6) with enough clearance on all sides and above and on a dry,
even, stable and heat-resistant surface.
2. Insert the drip tray (5) into the housing (6). The recess must be seated directly on the
ventilation opening (7).
3. Insert the tray for fuel paste (4) into the drip tray (5). Make sure when you do this that
the recess is seated directly on the ventilation opening (7).
4. Place the fuel container (3) onto the tray for fuel paste (4).
5. Place the lid for the fuel container (2) onto the fuel container (3).
6. Place the grill rack (1) onto the housing (6) and secure it with the two locking catch-
es (10).
Perform the steps in reverse order to dismantle the device.

2. Open the battery compartment (9):
– Grip and press down the locking lug on the battery
compartment cover.
– Lift up the cover at the same time.
3. If necessary, remove the used batteries and dispose of
them in an environmentally friendly way.
