PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of a Nikken Air Wellness Traveler — the compact,
advanced mobile system that offers a combination of technologies designed to improve
indoor air wherever you are.
• The Air Wellness Traveler includes multistage air filtration, with a prefilter, fine
dust/deodorizing filter, photocatalytic filter and HEPA filter. This range of filtration
methods — including the same technology that is used in laboratories and hospital
operating rooms — significantly reduces airborne contaminants.
• The Traveler also features negative-ion generation, to re-create an atmosphere similar to
that in forests and near waterfalls. This technology is based on the Japanese practice of
taking open-air walks to reduce stress and enjoy shinrinyoku, "forest-air breathing."
• Clean ion generation, a unique, patented process employed by the Traveler, produces
these ions without producing ozone. Ozone is classified by the United States
Environmental Protection Agency as a toxic gas.

When using electronic appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:
• Read all instructions before operating the Air Wellness™ Traveler.
• Locate the unit in a place where it will not be knocked over or struck by persons, pets,
furniture or doors.
• The unit must be placed in an upright position.
• When used in an automobile, do not attach the unit to any seat or surface that contains
an airbag.
• Never place the unit in direct sunlight or near powerful lighting equipment.
• Always turn the unit off and unplug it from the wall when not in use for a long period of time.
• To unplug the Traveler, first turn the power off. Grasp the plug and pull it from the outlet.
Never unplug the unit by pulling on the cord.
• Do not operate the unit if it has a damaged cord or plug. Do not operate if the unit
malfunctions, is dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Keep the cord away from heat or hot surfaces.
• Do not use this product outdoors.
• Never operate this unit unless it is fully assembled. Do not operate without filters in place.
• Do not attempt to wash and reuse the filters except for the washable prefilter.
• Do not disassemble internal components. No user-serviceable parts are inside the unit
(filter replacement excepted). Disassembly, repair or replacement of internal components
may be performed only by qualified technicians.
