Connecting the trailer control module
13. Plug the 12-pin plug into the trailer control module (Fig. 1/3).
14. Fasten the trailer control module (Fig. 1/3) to the left-hand side of the luggage trunk using
some velcro tape. Make sure it is securely fastened!
15. Connect the brown wires with the eyelet to the vehicle's ground point (Fig. 1/2). If necessary,
set up a conductive connection to the vehicle's ground.
16. Insert the miniature relay (Fig. 1/4) into the relay socket. Secure the relay socket on the cable
harness using cable ties.
Connecting the power supply
17. Lay the remaining cable set with the red and the yellow cable along the vehicle's cable
harnesses/ducts up to the central fuse, relay and terminal box located front left (Fig. 1/1) and
connect it.
Connect the red cable to connector H pin 6

Connect the yellow cable to connector K pin 3

Checking correct operation
18. Reconnect the ground of the vehicle's battery.
19. Check the trailer function with the help of a suitable test instrument (with load resistors) or
with the help of a trailer.
20. Secure all cables using cable ties.
21. Refit any parts removed for installation.
