Function Test/Self-Test:
• Switch ON voltage tester by pushing the button
and connect test probes. The LED for continuity test
Rx shall be ON. If this LED is not ON, the batteries
must be changed (2100-Alpha).
If the battery symbol is indicated on the display, the
batteries must be changed (2100-Beta/2100-Gamma).
• Before and after use, always test the voltage tester on
a known voltage source or on a proving unit.
W
The voltage tester must be no longer used if one or
more functions fail or if no functionality is indicated.
W
Remove discharged batteries immediately from the
voltage tester to prevent any leaks.
2100-Alpha and 2100-Beta only:
The LED voltage indicator (3) functions even without
batteries at voltages >24 V AC/DC.
W
CAUTION: This feature is not available on 2100-Gamma!
2100-Gamma only: The single-pole phase test LED (5)
functions even without batteries at voltages > 50 V AC/DC.
W
CAUTION: This feature is not available on 2100-Alpha
and 2100 beta!.
The voltage tester 2100 series feature a switchable
load which trips a 10 mA or 30 mA RCD (earth leakage
circuit breaker). For voltage tests (L against PE) in systems
with RCD (earth leakage circuit breaker), the RCD (earth
leakage circuit breaker) can be tripped when two push
buttons
are activated simultaneously.

Voltage Test (two pole)

The following AC/DC voltage steps can be
displayed without activating the two push buttons: 12V
(2100-Gamma only), 24V, 50 V, 120 V, 230 V, 400V, 690 V.
When both push buttons
resistance is switched ON to suppress inductive and
capacitive voltages (load test). For 2100-Alpha and 2100-
Beta the voltage steps for +12 V and -12V are working
only when both push buttons
The duration of the test with lower internal resistance
(load test) depends on the level of the voltage to be
measured.
W
Follow the safety instructions. Connect both test
probes to the test object.
• The voltage tester switch ON automatically from a
voltage of approx. 24 V (2100-Alpha/2100-Beta) or
approx. 6 V (2100-Gamma).
• The voltage is displayed by an LED row
• The 2100-Beta and 2100-Gamma also indicates the
voltage digitally on the LCD screen
• In the case of AC voltages the "+"and "-"LEDs are ON
simultaneously.
• The voltage testers feature an LED row with the
voltage indication 12 V, 24 V, 50 V, 120 V, 230 V,
400 V, 690 V.
• In the case of DC voltage the polarity of the indicated
voltage refers to the voltage tester test probe
• When the two push buttons
internal load is applied. For 2100-Alpha and 2100-Beta
the 12 V LED are now ready to work and could be ON
depending on the voltage level.
• In case that 50 V AC or 120 V DC is reached or
exceeded, an audio warning by buzzer occurs.
