MAINTENANCE
l PF 6000: by attaching the pump to the outflow swivel most of the dirt will
be back-flushed out of the filter material.
l PF 10000/15000: the dirt indicator on top of the lid shows when the filter
material is clogging up and reducing the filter capacity. With the knob in
'clean' position the filter material can be rinsed.
The pump will guide the water in opposite direction through the filter material now
and consequently discharge the dirt. Remove the cap from the dirty water outflow
(C).If, despite regular rinsing, the water flow to the pond decreases, the filter materials
should be cleaned by hand under running water. Filter material which is very dirty or
decayed, should be replaced (after 2-3 years). If due to circumstances the water
supply to the filter is cut off for four hours or more, the filter material should first be
rinsed before recommencing filtration. This prevents micro-organisms killed by a lack
of oxygen being flushed into the pond. During winter, at temperatures below 0°C, the
filter should be switched off. Clean all parts and keep them in a dry frostfree place.
When carrying out activities in or near the pond, all devices that are immersed or in
contact with the water should be de-energized.
GENERAL
A filter installation is the solution for many ponds because often too many fish are
kept in proportion to the amount of water in the pond. It's a simple fact that in a
garden pond a fish has far less water to swim around in than it has in the natural
environment, and the natural equilibrium is also rapidly eroded by the many
wastes produced by the fish. Filtering keeps the water clear and also oxygen rich.
GUARANTEE
The manufacturer guarantees the correct functioning of this apparatus for a period of
24 months after purchase. The warranty expires in case of repairs, changes or addi-
tions to this product that are performed by others than the manufacturer. If a claim
