Before Initial Use

1. Check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied" chapter) and
possible transport damage. If you fi nd any damage, do not use the device (!), but
rather contact the customer service department.
2. Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or transport protection from the device. Never
remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
3. The device should be used for the fi rst time without any food in it as it may produce
some smoke or odours due to coating residues. Allow the device to heat up for a few
minutes without any food in it. To do this, follow the instructions in the "Setting Up the
Device" and "Use" chapters.
4. Thoroughly clean the plates. Follow the instructions in the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter to do this.
