If none of the indicators light up during testing, check the
terminal connectors (8) for proper connection.
Check whether the terminals of the car battery are oxidized
or dirty, as such could affect the contact with the terminal
connectors of the battery tester.
a) Testing the charging condition
• When charging a 12 V car battery, connect the red positive connector to
the positive terminal and the black negative connector to the negative
terminal of the car battery.
• Once the charge completion indicator (1) lights up, the car battery is
fully charged.
• Remove the terminal connectors after testing. First disconnect the
negative connector and then disconnect the positive connector.
b) Testing the charging circuit (generator test)
• Connect the red positive connector to the positive terminal and the black
negative connector to the negative terminal of the car battery.
• Accelerate the engine to 2000 rpm (revolutions per minute).
• The charging circuit indicator (2) lighting up means the charging circuit
(generator) is in good condition.
• Remove the terminal connectors after testing. First disconnect the
negative connector and then disconnect the positive connector.
