2. Safety Instructions

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and
the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• Keep this device away from rain and moisture.
• Always switch off both the transmitter and the receiver after use.
3. Operation
Never connect the test leads with an active AC or DC-powered line.

• Testing Continuity

o Switch to CONT position
Connect the test leads to the end of the pair to be tested.
Short-circuit the other end of the pair. The CONT LED will light if the resistance of the loop
does not exceed 10k Ω.
o Switch to TONE position
Connect the test leads to the end of the pair to be tested.
Use the receiver to receive the signal on the other end. Continuity exists when the tracker
emits a beep.
Adjust the receiver sensitivity using the sensitivity knob on the side of the receiver.
