WARNING: when removing the side discharge
deflector, make certain that the flap is properly
closed with the catch securely engaged.
CUTTING (48T)
To activate the drive, pull slowly the clutch lever (C) right back
to handlebar (B) (Fig. 20).
7. ENGINE STOPPING
Release the lever (D) (Fig. 18).
WARNING! After releasing the lever (D) the motor and
blade will continue to spin for about 3 seconds!
WARNING – Before using the machine, always make
sure that the motor stops within a few seconds of
the motor lever being released. Have the blade stoppage
time periodically tested by an Authorised Service Centre.
WARNING!
PROHIBITED USES
- The lawnmower must be used exclusively for cutting grass
in private gardens or parks.
- The lawnmower must not be used for cutting other
materials, particularly materials above ground level that
require the lawnmower to be raised above the ground.
- The lawnmower must not be used to shred branches, nor
materials thicker than grass.
- The lawnmower must not be used to vacuum or collect
dense material, dust, refuse of any kind, sand or gravel from
the ground.
- The lawnmower must not be used to flatten uneven or
bumpy terrain; the blade must never come into contact
with the ground.
- The lawnmower must never be used to transport, push or
tow trailers or other similar objects.
- It is prohibited to fit implements or accessories other than
those supplied by the manufacturer.
TRASPORTATION
- To facilitate transport and storage, the handle can be
folded: unscrew knobs (A, Fig.5), release handlebar (B) and
rotate towards the battery compartment (Fig.3).
NOTE: be careful to prevent pinching or stretching of the
electric cables.
- Remove the grass catcher.
- Transport the lawnmower with the engine switched off.
WARNING - When transporting the lawnmower on a
vehicle, ensure that it is firmly and securely fastened
using straps or belts. Remove the safety plug (9, Fig.2)
but do not disconnect the battery. The lawnmower must
be transported in the horizontal position, also ensuring
compliance with applicable transport regulations for such
machines.

8. MAINTENANCE

For continued optimal operation of your lawnmower and
for the best mowing results, adhere strictly to the following
maintenance recommendations.
USE ONLY ORIGINAL PARTS
WARNING! Also read the battery and battery charger
instruction and maintenance manual!
WARNING! Before performing any cleaning or repair
procedures, stop the motor, disconnect the battery
and disconnect the safety plug (9, Fig.2).
COOLING THE MOTOR
To avoid overheating and damaging the motor, the cooling air
intake grilles must always be kept clean and free from grass and
debris.
MANAGING THE BATTERY
1.
The battery must be stored in environments with
temperatures between 0° and +45°C. If storing the
machine in places where these limits could be exceeded,
remove the battery and store it in a suitable place.
2.
During use, the battery is protected against total discharge
by a protective device that switches off the machine and
stops its operation.
3.
The battery comes with a protective device that prevents
recharging if the ambient temperature is not between 0°
and +45°C.
4.
The battery can be recharged at any time, even partially,
without the risk of damaging it.
MAINTENANCE OF THE CUTTING EQUIPMENT
EXTRA MAINTANANCE ADVISABLE
It is advisable to inspect the machine by a specialized
technician at an authorized service network at the end of
season, if used intensively, and every two years if with normal
use.
WARNING! – Any maintenance operations not
specifically dealt with in this manual must be carried
out by an authorised service centre. To ensure that
your lawnmower continues to function correctly, use only
ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT PARTS.
Any unauthorized changes and/or use of non-
original replacement parts may result in serious
injury or death to the operator or third parties.
Take care when handling the blade. Always wear
protective gloves.
- Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing.
- Keep a sharp edge on the blade.
- A blade without a sharp edge will not make a good cut.
A worn or damaged blade can be dangerous: replace
it.
BLADE (Fig. 19)
WARNING – Work with protective gloves when
checking the condition of the blade. Use caution
because the blades may rotate even when the motor is
not running.
WARNING – Periodically check that the bolt (A) is
tightened to 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
If the grass mowing becomes unsatisfactory as time goes by,
the blades probably need to be sharpened. A poorly sharpened
blade pulls out the grass and makes the lawn turn yellow. If
the blades are damaged or crooked, they have to be replaced.
