Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the prob-
lem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the
customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does not
work.
No steam is emerg-
ing.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not insert-
ed correctly in the socket.
The socket is defective.
No mains voltage is present.
The device is not switched on. Press the On / Off switch (8).
The device is not yet ready to
operate.
The water tank (4) is empty.
The device is furred up.
The trigger (D) has not been
activated.
Fix
Correct the fi t of the mains
plug.
Try another socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
The device needs to heat up
for around 20 – 30 sec-
onds before the steam can
emerge. The heating control
lamp (9) goes out once the
device has reached operating
temperature.
Top up the water tank again
(see the "Filling the Water
Tank" chapter).
Descale the water tank (see
the "Cleaning, Care and Stor-
age" chapter).
The trigger must be activat-
ed for steam to be able to
emerge from the device (see
the "Use" chapter).
