Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The device should only be used if it has been completely and correctly assembled.
■ Check the fl oor cloth for any wear before each use. Do not use the cloth if it shows
any signs of wear or if it is damaged. The fl ooring could be damaged.
■ CAUTION – Danger of scalding! After you switch off the device, hot steam may
continue to emerge for a few seconds! Even after cooling, the water in the tank still
remains hot!
We recommend that, before using the device, you sweep the fl oor with a broom
or vacuum it using a vacuum cleaner.
1. Attach the accessory you want (see the "Attaching / Detaching Accessories" chapter).
Be aware that for use with the cleaning foot (5) a fl oor cloth must be attached (see
the "Attaching / Detaching Accessories" chapter – "Attaching / Detaching the Floor
Cloth").
2. Fill the water tank (4) (see the "Filling the Water Tank" chapter).
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
4. Press the On / Off switch (8). The operating lamp (10) and the heating control lamp
(9) light up. As soon as the device has reached the operating temperature, the heat
control lamp goes out.
Please Note: The heating control lamp goes out and lights up at regular intervals. This
is not a malfunction. To maintain a constant temperature, the device heats up or the
device stops the heating process at regular intervals. When the heating control lamp is
lit up, the device is in a heating phase; if it goes out, the water has reached operating
temperature again.
5. Hold the device by the handle (1) and unlock the trigger (D):

6. Press the trigger several times until steam emerges.
7. Hold down the trigger and guide the chosen accessory back and forth over the area
which is to be cleaned.
If a larger area is to be cleaned, the trigger can also be locked in place using the
safety switch.
8. If during use no steam or only a very small amount of steam is generated, check
whether there is suffi cient water in the water tank and top it up again if necessary (see
the "Filling the Water Tank" chapter).
9. After fi nishing the cleaning, lock the trigger and press the On / Off switch again; the
operating lamp goes out.
10. Pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the device to cool down completely.

• Unlocking: Press the safety switch (E) towards the han-
dle, to the ON position.
• Locking: Press the safety switch away from the handle, to
the OFF / LOCK position.
