Do not process any workpieces containing pollutants as harmful (e.g. carcinogen-
ic) substances may be released during sawing. Dusts from materials such as paint
containing lead, some types of wood, minerals and metal may be harmful to health.
Touching or breathing in the dusts may cause allergic reactions and/or respiratory
diseases for the user or people located nearby. Certain dusts such as oak or beech
dust are considered to be carcinogenic, particularly in conjunction with additives used
for wood treatment (chromate, wood preservative). Material which contains asbestos
may only be handled by specialist experts.

Keep a suffi ciently safe distance away. Do not place your hands in the sawing area
or on the saw blade.
■
Do not grip underneath the workpiece and never hold the workpiece in your hand or
over your leg. Secure the workpiece on a stable mount in order to minimise the risk
of body contact, jamming of the saw blade or loss of control.
■
Do not use the device if it is damaged.
■
Do not make any changes to the device and accessories and do not attempt to repair
it. In the event of any damage, please contact our customer service department.
■
Even if the device is used in the designated way and all safety notes in these instruc-
tions are observed, the following residual risks may still arise:
– Touching the saw blade (cut injuries)
– Parts of the workpiece being spewed out/fl ying out (risk of injury if suffi cient
protective clothing is not being worn)
You should therefore always be attentive and careful when handling the device!
NOTE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

Never use damaged saw blades or saw blades that do not match the product as
otherwise it is no longer possible to guarantee operational safety and optimum per-
formance from the device.
■
Keep the saw blades sharp and clean. This will make working with the device safer
and easier.
■
Only ever saw thin or thin-walled workpieces with fi ne-toothed saw blades.
■
Always keep the handle dry and free of any grease.
■
Protect the device and accessories from: wet conditions, persistent moisture, colli-
sions, fi re, heat, constant sunlight.
■
Do not use any additional accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
