Safety information

DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage.
Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or appliance
show any signs of visible damage or if the appliance itself
has been dropped.
Use the appliance only in dry interior rooms.
Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp
when the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it
cannot be trapped or damaged in any way.
Never touch the mains plug with wet or moist hands.
The appliance must be connected to a correctly installed
and earthed mains power socket supplying a suitable volt-
age. Compare the connection data (voltage and frequency)
on the appliance's rating plate with that of your electric
supply.
Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be
replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by
our Customer Service department to avoid the risk of injury.
All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist work-
shops or by the Customer Service department. Improper
repairs may put the user at risk. They will also invalidate any
warranty claims.
To disconnect the appliance completely from the mains power,
the mains plug must be removed from the power socket. The
appliance must be positioned so that you have unrestricted
access to the mains socket at all times and can pull out the
plug immediately in an emergency.
Always remove the plug from the power socket before
moving the appliance, in the event of faults, before cleaning
the appliance, before changing the light bulb or when it is
not in use! Never pull on the power cable; always pull
directly on the plug itself.
