Automatic deactivation settings
When automatic deactivation is selected, the device detects the end
of coagulation and deactivates high frequency mode.
Press function key 2.
The display shows:

After a waiting time of 30 seconds, or when the user presses function
key , the system returns to the main menu.

The menu Special Functions is displayed:

The coagulation gradient for deactivation can be adjusted in two steps
and applies equally to all monopolar and bipolar outputs:
• Long: A higher coagulation gradient is reached until deactivation
(forced coagulation)
• Short: A lower coagulation gradient is reached until deactivation
(soft coagulation)
If the function autoCOAG on/off is selected, the maximum dosage is
limited to 50. At the Long setting, the deactivation behavior changes
for the bipolar outputs. The HF power is activated as soon as the for-
ceps touches tissue; it is deactivated as soon as the forceps does not
touch any tissue anymore.
Note
The higher the dosage setting, the quicker the deactivation threshold
will be reached, and the more superficial is the coagulation.

of accidental activation, e.g. when the instrument

Selecting the argon function
The argon control unit is connected to the HF device via the CAN bus
interface 18. Activation signals at the handle or foot pedal are trans-
mitted to the argon control unit.
