Allow the heated battery to cool before charg-
ing.
Do not open the battery, and protect from im-
pact. Store in a dry and frost-free place.
Cover the contacts of a removed battery. Dan-
ger of fire results when shorted by a metal ob-
ject!
Bosch is only able to ensure perfect functioning
of the machine if the original accessories in-
tended for it are used.
Before Putting into Operation
Battery Charging
A battery that is new or has not been used for a
longer period does not develop its full capacity
until after approximately 5 charging/discharging
cycles.
Disengage the battery 9 by pressing the releasing
knob 10 on both sides and pulling down, out of
the handle. Do not exert any force.
For commissioning the fast battery charger and
for a description of the charging procedure,
please consult the battery charger operating in-
structions provided.
The battery is equipped with an NTC temperature
monitor which allows charging only within a tem-
perature range of between 0 °C and 45 °C. A long
battery service life is achieved in this manner.
When used properly, the battery can be re-
charged up to 3000 times .
A substantial drop in the operating time per
charge indicates that the battery is worn out and
must be replaced.
When using Bosch NiMH batteries, the
performance capabilities are limited at
temperatures below –10 °C.
Observe the notes on environmental pro-
tection.

Inserting the Battery
Switching On and Off
If a force of over 60 N is exerted on the
On/Off switch 7, the device can still
switch on despite the transport safety-
lock switch being set.
Pressure value display
By pressing the button 13 the pressure display 11
is switched on.
The pressure display 11 must be calibrated if
"ERR" is shown on the display.
To do this, press a pointed gadget into the calibra-
tion opening 12 for approx. 5 seconds (reset func-
tion).
For alternating between the measuring units, i.e.
bar, psi and kg/cm
it is necessary to press the button 13 once again
after actuating the pressure display.
The pressure display 11 goes out after approx.
90 seconds.

("Lock").
Push the charged battery 9 into
the grip, until it is heard to notch.
