Water Treatment; Cleaning The Glass - Ferlux S Série Instructions D'installation

Operation of a chimney equipped with a closed fireplace or insert requires an additional supply of air to that necessary for the regulation air renewal
(Spanish order of 24 March 1982).
It is advisable to check that the air required for combustion may be taken in sufficient quantity from the room in which the fireplace is located. If the stove is
installed in a closed compartment, decompression grilles (minimal 200 cm
by natural convection inside the chamber and ensure proper supply of oxygen for combustion. Models with air intake from outside have a lower ring which must be
connected the air intake duct.

IMPORTANT FOR THE HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION
Prior to assembly is essential to check the compatibility of equipment with
the installation.
Connections, commissioning and testing of operating the equipment must
be carried out by qualified personnel and be capable of performing the
electrical connections and hydraulic accordance with applicable regulations.
Equipment must be checked with the fire blazing and simulating a routine

TIPS
It is advisable to keep radiators enclosed within the room in which equipment is installed as the heat radiating from this is enough.
If placing an electronic controller, it is advisable with temperature between 50 - 70 ° C.
Always be open the water outlet of the device to avoid overpressure problems.
Never ignite the fire without making sure there is water in the tank circuit and the team.
If installed in an expansion tank open, it is advisable to mount at least 2 feet above the highest point to be heated. The height to be placed this vessel, shall be
such that a higher pressure than that produced by the circulation pump.
The tube going into the expansion tank should be free and faucets or other items that may obstruct it.

WATER TREATMENT

For water treatment, anti-corrosive substances should be added, descaling and antifreeze.
SECURITY
We recommend installing an alarm system if the water temperature exceeded 90 ° C due to an excess load of firewood. In this case, the procedure would be to

ADVICE ON MAINTENANCE
ASH
Ash must be removed whenever necessary by emptying the ash pan. Ash and cinders must not be allowed to fill the ash pan and come into contact with the

CLEANING THE GLASS

The glass must be cleaned while the fireplace is still warm.
Various commercially available products are easy to use and facilitate the removal of deposits. Follow the instructions carefully.
Do not use abrasive products
If the glass needs replacing, remove the screws holding it place. Re-use the insulating and cushioning gaskets.
The new glass must be special high temperature (750ºC) glass of the 'vitroceramic' or 'vision' type. Do not use any other materials or types of glass.
Try not to bang the door shut, use the handle to close it. For appliances with upward-opening doors, keep hold of the door until it is fully open.
Do not lay the fire too close to the glass.
