4.0 Operation Elements and Connections
1. Key "STAND BY": Causes the condition "ready
for turn-on" (in compliance with DIN VDE 0104).
Resets the instrument after an insulation error.
Switches off the high voltage when actuating the
key the second time. Turn-on is delayed by ap-
prox. 1 second, turn-off is carried out without
delay.
2. Key "TEST": High voltage turn-on after a delay
time of approx. 1 second.
3. Key-operated switch: Used to pre-select the
desired voltage (left position 1000 V, right po-
sition 1500 V). For protection against unautho-
rised turn-on, the key may be removed when set
to in middle position.
4. LED "THERMAL OVERLOAD": Indicates thermal
instrument overload.

5. LED "INSULATION BREAK DOWN": Indicates
when a spark-over has taken place during test.
6. LED "POWER ON": Indicates when the instru-
ment is connected to the mains and the key-op-
erated switch is set to 1000 V or 1500 V.
7. LED "STAND BY": Indicates that the instrument
is ready-to-operate. High voltage is not active.
8. LED "TEST": Indicates when high voltage is pre-
sent at test sockets.
9. Test sockets for High Voltage (on instrument
rear).
10. Mains Cable. (on instrument rear).
