HOW TO USE THIS TOOL SET
Choose the correct fork (size) among the 4 forks provided (items
1952003681, 1952003682, 1952003683, 1952003684).
Take into account the fact that the size of the fork is larger than the
ball joint's kingpin and also make sure there is a suitable supporting
surface for the size of the fork.
Have at hand the central body with the 1952 003 685 (fig. 1 ref.
A ) adjuster screw and fit the selected fork as shown in the picture
1 ref. B .
Fit the thrust spindle 1952 003 686 as shown in the picture 2 ref.
C .
Warning: lubricate the thrust spindle before use!
Fit the tool in the work area, so that the upper and lower clamps can
work as parallel as possible. Then adjust the working range, either
by fully tightening or loosening the fork on the central spindle.
This is important to prevent the thread (on the kingpin) from being
compressed transversely, which would damage it.
Begin the removal by actuating the thrust spindle, according to
dimensions, from the inside or the outside of the clamp, at 6-kant.
The trapezoidal thread spindle is suitable for use with compressed
air and electric screwdrivers.
