Settings
Compatibility
The BIC system has been tested with many commonly
used masters and IO-Link devices. With some special
devices or masters, telegram repetitions or telegram aborts
can occur on the transparent channel. In this case, it may
help to increase the minimum cycle time of the IO-Link
communication at the master (see instructions for master).
Switch-on behavior
The BIC system is capable of switching on capacitive
loads up to 1000 µF. If a large number of devices are
connected to the remote component and the switch-on
behavior is not satisfactory, the behavior can be improved
by increasing the distance between base and remote
component.

Operating notes

Regularly check the BIC system and all associated
components for proper operation.

In case of malfunction, shut down the BIC system.

Secure the system against unauthorized use.

Check fasteners and retighten if needed.

Cleaning
BIC ...G30... can be cleaned using the washdown
method.
BIC ...M30...: Clean surfaces only with a dry or
water-moistened cloth!
The product may only be cleaned when switched off. It
can only be put back into operation after the operating
temperature has been reached (if the cleaning process
was carried out at lower or higher temperatures).
The product is resistant to numerous alkaline, neutral and
acidic cleaning media based on peroxyacids and amines
with and without chlorine for the food and beverage
industry.

In case of surface damage or malfunctions, the product
must be taken out of operation immediately.
Coarse metallic contamination can lead to decreasing
efficiency and even to product defects.
► Remove foreign particles immediately.
► Regularly remove any soiling on and around the active
surfaces.
The cleaning intervals depend on the ambient conditions
and the frequency of use.
