that they can pick up the shipwrecked person. A 5-Led light indicator gives
information about the distance from the vessel of the person in water.
Periodic checks
Your W402 receiver has been designed and built
technology to ensure maximum performance and simplicity of use.
Being a safety device, we recommend to take a procedure for functional
verifcation every time you want to activate it, for example:

Switch on the W402 receiver.

Switch on a MOB transmitter device in test mode.

If the test generates the homing signal, the receiver must activate
automatically, as if there was an alarm condition.

If the MOB transmitter device does not generate the homing
signal, press the squelch button to activate the speaker and listen
to the emitted signal.

If the MOB transmitter device uses, for the test phase, a different
frequency from the emergency one, select the desired frequency
by pressing the button "Change channel".
Troubleshooting
Should the device fail to pass the periodic check it will be necessary to
contact a qualifed installator or to send your W402 receiver to our after-
sales service, which will effect the necessary checks.
