5. When operating a device outside, use an outdoor extension cord
marked "W- A" or "W". These extension cords are rated for outdoor use,
and reduce the risk of electric shock.

Personal Safety

1. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, and use common sense
when operating an electric device. Do not use it if you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating may result in serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Bind long
hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in it.
3. Avoid accidental starts of the device. Be sure the power switch
is off before you plug it in. Carrying the device with your finger on the
power switch, or plugging in devices with the power switch on can lead to acci-
dents.
4. Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the device
on. A wrench or a key that is left attached to a rotating part of the device may
result in personal injury.
5. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and
balance enable a better control of the device in unexpected situations.
6. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protections. Dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropri-
ate conditions.
Use and Care
1. Use clamps (not included) to fix and/or support the workpiece.
Holding the work piece by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to
a loss of control.
2. Do not overload the device. Choose the device in function of the
job you want to do to get optimal results at a maximal security
rate.
3. Do not use the device if the power switch does not turn on or
off. Any device that cannot be controlled with the power switch is dangerous
and must be repaired or replaced.

4. Disconnect the power cord plug from the power source before
you make any adjustments or modifications, change accessories,
or store the device. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the device accidentally.
5. Store idle devices out of reach of children and other untrained
persons. Devices are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
6. Maintain devices with care. Keep cutting devices maintained
and clean. Properly maintained devices are less likely to bind and are easier to
control. Do not use a damaged device. Tag damaged devices with a proper shield
("Do not use") until repaired
7. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts, and any other condition that may affect the device's ope-
ration. If damaged, have the device serviced before using it. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained devices.
8. Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufactu-
rer for your model. Accessories that may be suitable for one device may
become hazardous when used on another one.
Service
1.
The technical service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Ser-
vice or technical maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result
in a risk of injury.
2.
When servicing a device, use only identical replacement parts. Use of unautho-
rized parts or failure to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of
electric shock or injury.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES

1. Maintain labels and nameplates on the device. These carry important
information. If they get unreadable or missing, contact our service team for a
replacement.
2. Always wear certified impact eye goggles and heavy work gloves
when you use the device. Personal safety measures reduce the risk of
injury.
3. Maintain a safe working environment. Keep the work area well lit.
Make sure the surrounding workspace is adequate. Always keep the work area
free from obstructions, grease, oil, trash, and other debris. Do not use the device
in flammable chemicals, dusts, and vapors. Do not use this product near to flam-
mables goods or in a wet location.
