Using SitWalk
Caregivers can work in pairs or alone. The user should sit up straight and/or
lean forward somewhat.
Lean the user to one side and pull by shifting weight. Work with straight arms.
Then, lean the user in the opposite direction, continuing until the user is sitting
fully against the back rest.
If you are working alone, be sure to move from side to side, so that you always
work with straight arms and shift your weight.
A helpful hint is to place a FootStool under the feet, so that the
thighs are lifted somewhat, which reduces friction.
