4. Precautions
To reduce the risk of electric shock and to ensure that your guarantee remains valid,
do not remove cover (or back).
Avoid rain and humidity. Do not use the camera in damp places. This camera is
designed for indoor use only. If the camera becomes wet, the power supply must be
switched off immediately. The camera should then be checked by a service
technician before being used again.
Clean the glass lens of the integrated motor zoom lens. For cleaning, use only
lint-free cloth or a cotton-tip moistened with ethanol (alcohol). Never use corrosive or
abrasive cleaning substances.
Never point the camera towards the sun. Whether the camera is in use or not,
never aim the lens at the sun or other very bright objects (laser light). This can
damage the CCD element and create white dots on the monitor, a sign that CCD
pixels are destroyed.
