GETTING STARTED
1. Set up your refrigerator
• Remove tape and glue residue and clean surfaces before turning on the refrigerator.
• If you are using your refrigerator in a kitchen, we recommend you set your tempera-
tures at 37˚F (3°C) for the fresh food compartment and 0˚F (-18°C) for the freezer.
This unit is equipped with a cooling system where one of the Refrigerator/ Freezer
sections may cool slower than the other initially. Allow 24 hours for unit to stabilize
and reach the desired temperatures. After 24 hours, you can adjust the control as
desired, allowing the temperature to stabilize.
Press either + or — to adjust to the desired temperature set-
ting inside the refrigerator or freezer compartment. Adjusting
Temp illuminates until you reach the desired temperature(s).
°F/°C allows you to switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and
Celsius (°C).

2. Keep your refrigerator fresh

3. Prime the water supply system for your PurePour Connect™ Water Filters
After installing your water and air fi lters, be sure to prime the water supply system be-
fore dispensing water for the fi rst time. If you do not fl ush the system, the fi rst glasses
of water may be discolored or have an odd fl avor.
• Hold a glass against the paddle for about 4 minutes to purge air from the system.
• Continue dispensing at least 1 full gallon (3.6 L) of water and discard.
We recommend replacing filters at least once every 6 months.

FAQs
My refrigerator is making unfamiliar
sounds. Is this normal?
Your new, high-effi ciency unit may intro-
duce unfamiliar sounds. These sounds nor-
mally indicate your appliance is operating
correctly. See the NORMAL OPERATING
SOUNDS section of your online Use and
Care Manual for more information.
How do I use the side door dispenser?
Your side door dispenser is located in the
refrigerator door. To use the dispenser
simply hold the door with one hand, place
your glass under the nozzle, and push the
paddle to dispense water with your other
hand. If your glass doesn't enable the pad-
dle due to size, use your fi nger to activate
the paddle for dispensing. When dispens-
ing ice, please hold the cup in position for
a moment after releasing the paddle. This
ensures you catch any ice that is already
on its way to the cup.
Why does my refrigerator seem to run
continuously?
Your variable speed compressor is de-
signed to run 100% of the time except
during the defrost cycle. At times it will
run faster, such as after a defrost cycle.
