INSTALLATION
a)
Dismount the rear frame cover in accordance to the Service Manual.
b)
Fully insert the 18-pin harness connector in the control unit until the security catch clicks in.
c)
Clean carefully the unit mounting area (picture 1) and the bottom side of the alarm unit with a
suitable cleaner.
d)
Mount the alarm unit with the bi-adhesive tape as indicated in picture 1 and press together for a
few seconds.
e)
Identify the 4-pin connector (picture 1) of the alarm pre-arrangement, remove the counterpart
and insert the corresponding harness connector.
f)
Identify the 1-pin connector (picture 1) (+12V) and insert the harness counterpart.
g)
Place the fuse housing as indicated (picture 1).
h)
Place the LED as indicated in picture 4.
i)
Connect the LED 2-pin connector to the plug&play harness counterpart.
j)
Connect the right turn indicator 2-pin connector to the harness counterpart (picture 2).
k)
Connect the left turn indicator 2-pin connector to the harness counterpart (picture 3).
l)
Apply the rear fairing on top of the rear frame close to its original position and connect the 2-pin
connectors of the turn signals to the harness counterparts.
m)
Remount the rear fairing in accordance to the service manual.
Caution: make sure that no cables are clamped between the cowling and frame or they will get
damaged.
n)
Reconnect the negative battery pole and remount the seats and side covers.
2. SYSTEM TEST
a)
To arm the system push once BUTTON 1 of the remote control.
Arming is confirmed by:
•
Turn indicators flash two times (right-left-right-left)
•
2 acoustic signals (bleep)
•
LED turns on (quick flash)
The system is operating after 40 sec. «Standby Time»: the motorbike cannot start
b)
Move the motorbike to make sure the movement sensor is operating
indicators flash for 30 sec.
c)
At the end of the alarm phase the LED turns ON steady.
d)
To disarm the system push BUTTON 1 of the remote control
Disarming is confirmed by:
•
Turn indicators flash once (right-left)
•
1 acoustic signal
LED gives 1 flash every 5 sec. to confirm an alarm due to a position variation
memory give an impulse (ON-OFF) on the ignition key.
e)
To activate the PANIC alarm push once BUTTON 2 of the remote control
and turn indicators flash for 30 sec. (to stop this test push BUTTON 1 or BUTTON 2).
f)
Re-assemble the parts previously removed.
g)
End of installation.
3.
MOTORBIKE DELIVERY
a)
The alarm system user instruction manual must be delivered to the owner together with the two
remote controls, the metal plate with the emergency release "PIN CODE" and the OE-jumper
removed during installation.
b)
The emergency release procedure must be explained to the owner.
