Installation
The lifting station must be installed in a location protected from frost,
on a flat, solid surface.
Before assembling, check that:
The electrical system complies with the CEI 364 VDE 0100 stan-
dard, i.e. that it has a socket ground terminals. The electrical con-
nection must only be made by a skilled electrician.
The relevant VDE 100 requirements must be met.
The electrical system to which the plant is connected must be equip-
ped with a high-sensitivity switch with FI <30 protection. In the event
of installation in showers or bathrooms, the relative requirements
of DIN VDE 0100 (part containing 701 requirements) must be met;.
The relevant EN 12 056 requirements must be met.
If an extension cable is used, it must be suitable (suitable gauge
and quality).
Unauthorised people (e.g. children) must be at safe distance.
The mains voltage and frequency must correspond to those requi-
red by the lifting station (230 V / 50 Hz).
The liquid for collection and pumping must be as specified.
Removing the internal protection
To remove the internal fittings used to protect all components during
transport, proceed as follows:
Lift off the clamps which secure the cover;
Remove the cover;
Remove the protective fitting;
The float switch stroke is set in the factory. Check that movement of
the float switch is completely unrestricted;
Replace the cover and secure it with the clamps.
Connecting the outlet pipeline
The outlet pipeline has a threaded male 1¼'' GAS union.
Use Teflon or similar sealants to guarantee an airtight seal between
the union and the outlet pipeline.
Installation of a shut-off valve on the outlet union is recommended to
simplify any maintenance work.
The shut-off valve must be suitable for use with black water.
In the event that the system is installed underneath the static water le-
vel, the outlet pipeline must be connected to the main sewer by means
of a U-shaped union.
The union must be above the static water level.
Connecting the intake pipelines
Up to two wastewater intake pipelines can be connected to the nano-
BOX lifting station.
The intake connections are on the cover and allow the connection of
DN40 and DN30 pipelines by means of a rubber seal.
To connect the intake pipeline to the lifting station, proceed as follows:
Lift off the clamps which secure the cover.
5
Remove the intake connection gasket from its seat.
Lift up the cover and turn it upside down.
Drill a hole in the cover in line with the intake connection using a saw
tool of suitable diameter.
Replace the gasket.
Replace the cover and secure it with the clamps.
Connect the intake pipeline to the lifting station. If necessary, pour
on a few drops of lubricating oil to allow the surfaces to slide into
place more easily.
Breather
The lifting station is equipped with an activated carbon filter as stan-
dard, and therefore does not require an external breather pipeline.
In the event that installation of an external breather pipeline is neces-
sary, a pipe with diameter DN 50 is recommended.
To install, proceed as follows:
Lift off the clamps which secure the cover;
Remove the activated carbon filter, taking care not to damage its
gasket.
Turn the cover upside down
Drill a hole in the cover in line with the intake connection using a hole
saw of suitable diameter.
Replace the gasket;
Replace the cover and secure it with the clamps.
Connect the breather pipeline to the lifting station. If necessary, pour
on a few drops of lubricating oil to allow the surfaces to slide into
place more easily.
!
attention
In clinics or premises with very specific requirements, the station's bre-
ather line must end above roof level.
Start-up
Before beginning the start-up procedure, check that all the pipelines
have been connected correctly.
!
attention
Once installation has been completed, a test should be run with clean
water to ensure that the lifting station is in perfect working order, pro-
ceeding as follows:
Connect the plug to the power socket.
Fill the tank with water.
Allow the float switch to rise until the pump starts up.
Check that all the pipeline joints are watertight.
!
attention
When the float switch drops and the pump stops, water must not flow
back from the outlet pipeline.
