7 Adjust the volume.
Adjust the volume on devices used to control the volume (e . g . ,
a stereo amplifier) .
NOTE
o The automatic power saving function is set to ON when shipped
new from the factory (page 22) .
o When DIMMER (display brightness) is set to AUTO OFF, the dis-
play will turn off when not being operated (page 22) .
Skipping to search for a track
Press a skip (.//) button to skip to the previous or next track .
Press them repeatedly until the desired track is selected .
After a track is selected, it will start playing back from the beginning .
o During playback, press the . button once to return to the
beginning of the current track . Press the skip . button
repeatedly to select and play lower-numbered tracks .

Searching for part of a track
During playback, press and hold a skip (.//) button on the
remote control to search backward/forward . Release the skip
(.//) button when you find the part to which you want to
listen .
