Before first-time use
Boil three full kettles of water, disposing of the water each time. This removes any
•
remaining residue from the manufacturing process.
USING YOUR KETTLE
1. Press the unlock button (3) to open the lid.
2. Fill the jug with the required amount of water (0.5-1.7L). Never fill the jug above the 'MAX'
limit. Otherwise, the hot water will spill over and cause a safety hazard.
3. Refit the lid. Always fit the lid when boiling the kettle.
4. Put the power base on a stable, level surface.
5. Plug the power base into the wall socket.
6. Put the kettle on the power base
7. Move the switch to I.
8. The light will come on and the kettle will heat.
9. Once the water boils, the kettle switches off automatically.
10. To switch off manually, move the switch to 0 or lift the kettle off the base.
GENERAL
When lifting the kettle, there might be moisture on the base – this is normal. It is the
•
steam that is used to automatically switch off the kettle, which condenses and escapes
via vents under the kettle.
OVERHEATING SAFEGUARD
The jug kettle has an overheating safeguard. This switches off the kettle if it is used
•
without (sufficient) water. Wait for the jug kettle to cool down for at least 10 minutes
before using it again.
