PDC – Pulse Data Capture Modul
1. General information
The PDC module (Pulse Data Capture) is used to
integrate meters with a pulse output in radio
systems or smart metering systems. The PDC is also
referred to as a wireless M-Bus or LoRaWAN®
converter. It processes pulse signals generated by
the meter, converts the information into radio
signals and transmits the radio telegrams to
suitable receivers or receiving systems. With the PDC
module, conventional meters with a pulse interface
can be upgraded to wireless meters. The module is
mainly used in the field of energy management and
consumption recording. Users are usually utility
companies and service providers in the areas of
consumption recording, billing, energy monitoring,
etc. Operational safety is only guaranteed if the
device is used as intended, according to the
manufacturer. No liability is accepted for damage
caused by other uses. Any modification is only
permitted with the approval of the manufacturer.
Otherwise the manufacturer's declaration will
become void.

■
impairing its functionality, chemical cleaning
agents should not be used. If cleaning is neces-
sary, use a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Notice! The device is equipped with a per-
■
manently installed lithium battery, which
must not be recharged. This type of battery
is classified as dangerous goods (Hazardous
goods class 9). The applicable transport regu-
lations must be observed! Data sheets, safety
data sheets and test reports of the batteries
are available on request. Please also note the
following general information on handling
batteries.
Warning! The instrument contains a
■
non-rechargeable lithium battery. Attempt-
ing to recharge it will damage the device and
possibly cause injury.
Attention! Under no circumstances may the
■
device be disposed of in normal household
waste. Please observe our regulations for
disposal mentioned separately in this manual.

or stationary receivers
By the means of the PDC module conventional
meters with pulse output can be integrated in radio
or M-Bus systems in an easy and cost-efficient way.
For this purpose, the pulse output of the meter is to
