5. MARKING FINE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE
CUTTING DEPTH (See Fig. E)
To make fine adjustments, turn the step buffer to the
suitable position.
6. STARTING THE ROUTER (See Fig. F)
Before starting work make sure that the workpiece is
firmly secured.
Depress lock-on button then on/off switch to start
the router. Release on/off switch and lock-on button
together to stop the router.
NOTE: Let the router stop fully before removing it from
the workpiece.
7. VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL SWITCH (See Fig. G)
The variable speed control switch allows you to
vary the speed of the router, enabling the optimum
speed to be selected for various sizes of router bits
and preventing the workpiece from being burnt. This
can occur especially when cross cutting. The speed
increases as you turn the switch towards the higher
numbers and decreases for the lower numbers (1 being
slowest and 7 fastest).
8. DIRECTION OF FEED (See Fig. H)
The feed motion of the router must always be carried
out against the rotation direction of the router bit (up-
grinding).
When milling in the direction with the rotation of the
router bit (down cutting), the router can break loose,
preventing control by the user.
