5) PRESIDENT CHANNELS
(ON + NRC)
Your transceiver is equipped with the PRESIDENT Channels feature,
which includes five pre-configured communication channels (P1 to
P5). These channels are available after the 40 standard channels,
making easier the communication within restricted groups by provid-
ing easy and immediate access. PRESIDENT Channels enable targeted
communication with group members. To use them, simply select the
desired channel after exploring the 40 standard channels and invite
group members to join it.
Activating and deactivating the function
1. Turn off the unit.
2.
Turn on the radio while pressing the NRC key (7).
PO (P Channels ON) or PF (P Channels OFF) appears briefly on the
display.
The default value is PO.
6) SCAN SKIP RESET (ON + PTT + NRC)
Used to reset the SCAN SKIP memory.
1. Turn off the unit.
2. Turn on the unit by simultaneously holding down the PTT key (11) and
the NRC key (7).
See SCAN SKIP page 32.
7) Microphone Up/Down activation/deactivation
This function activates or deactivates the UP/DN buttons on the
microphone. When the buttons are deactivated (LF), it becomes
impossible to change the channel using the UP/DN buttons on the
microphone. However, these keys can still be used in the menus to
allow setting parameters.
Note: This function affects the microphone Up/Down keys only. The
other controls of the device remain fully operational.
Activating and deactivating the function
1. Turn off the unit.
2.
Turn on the unit by simultaneously holding down the Mode key (8)
and the NRC key (7).
LO (ON) or LF (OFF) appears briefly on the display.
The default value is LO.
8) RESET
(ON + EMG)
Resets all user-defined settings and returns to default values.
1. Turn on the power while pressing the EMG key (6). "
display.
2. Long press F knob (4) to reset. A long beep confirms that the re initializa-
tion have been done.
3. If no key is pressed for 5 seconds or if the PTT switch (11) is pressed, the
unit
exits
