Determine the cable diameter using the vernier calliper.

Flip open the HRD 150/160-SGi and select the segment

rings according to the determined cable diameter (see
table), and fan them out. Using a sharp knife, cut into the
selected segment rings on the predetermined separation
line and tear them off.
This step then has to be repeated exactly on the remaining
segments of the press seal sections.
The segment rings must be removed without leaving
any residue.
Following this, coat only the cut surfaces and cable sealing

surfaces of the press seal with GM lubricant (included in
the scope of delivery).
• Do not lubricate the outer sealing surface of
the press seal.
• For easier insertion into the wall insert, it is ad-
vantageous to wet the outer sealing surface of
the press seal with water.
Place the press seal around the cables and insert it into

the wall insert.
• There must not be any continuous longitudinal
score marks on the cables in the seal area (if
necessary, move the cables slightly forwards or
backwards until there are no longer any longi-
tudinal score marks visible).
• Segment rings must not overlap during instal-

lation.

