Remove the connection cable with the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cable box [3]. Unwind the
connection cable completely. Set the operating mode selector switch [6] to "COLD" to keep food
cold or "HOT" to keep it warm. Then connect the cigarette lighter plug [1] to a suitable cigarette
lighter socket in your vehicle. The coolbox is now switched on. To switch the coolbox off, disconnect
the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.
The power adjustment knob [7] on the front of the coolbox has no function when operating the
product with 12V. The coolbox works at full power. It can cool contents down to a maximum
of 20 °C cooler inside the box than the ambient temperature (for 23 °C ambient
temperature). In keep-warm mode, the maximum internal temperature is around 65 °C (for 23
°C ambient temperature).
As the cigarette lighter sockets in some vehicles are still live even when the ignition is off, you
should disconnect the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle
when you leave the vehicle. Otherwise, the drain on your vehicle battery could be so high that
the engine will no longer start.
Do not use the coolbox in 12V cooling mode if the ambient temperature is below 18 °C to
prevent the contents freezing.
7.3.2 230 V operation
Remove the connection cable with the mains plug [8] from the cable box [4]. Unwind the
connection cable completely. Plug the mains plug [8] into an easily accessible mains socket. Set the
operating mode selector switch [6] to "COLD" to keep food cold or "HOT" to keep it warm. Turn
the power adjustment knob [7] on the front of the coolbox clockwise past the ECO position to
switch the coolbox on. Set the power you want using the power adjustment knob [7]. Turn the
power adjustment knob [7] clockwise to increase the power and anticlockwise to reduce the
power.
For maximum cooling power, in cooling mode turn the power adjustment knob [7] to the "MAX"
position. It can cool contents down to a maximum of 20 °C cooler inside the box than the ambient
temperature (for 23 °C ambient temperature).
For maximum warming power, in keep-warm mode turn the power adjustment knob [7] to the
"MAX" position. In keep-warm mode, the maximum internal temperature is around 65 °C (for 23
°C ambient temperature).
To switch the coolbox off, turn the power adjustment knob [7] anticlockwise to the "OFF" position,
until it engages.
Set the power adjustment knob [7] to the "ECO" position. The coolbox works in eco mode
(power-saving mode). In this mode it can cool contents down to a maximum of 8 to 11 °C
cooler inside the box than the ambient temperature.
