8.6. CLEANING AND ADJUSTING THE SPARK PLUG

(a) If the spark plug is blocked with carbon deposits, remove carbon deposits using a spark plug
cleaner or a wire brush. [Fig. 45 and Fig. 46]
(b) Adjust the electrode gap between 0.6 to 0.7 mm. [Fig. 46]

9. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE

□ There must be no water left in the pump for long periods of time. Deposits or minerals can settle
down on parts of the pump and damage it.
Please keep to the following procedure before storing your pump for at least 30 days:
9.1. EMPTYING THE WATER CIRCUIT
1.
Unscrew the drain plug and empty completely the pump body; [Fig. 35 or Fig. 36]
2.
Remove the priming plug;
3.
Clean the pump body with clear water;
4.
Allow water to drain completely;
5.
Replace the priming and drain plugs.
9.2. EMPTYING THE FUEL CIRCUIT (GASOLINE)
1.
Untighten the screw of the float chamber [Fig. 42 and Fig. 43];
2.
Thoroughly let petrol flow out of the tank into a convenient container;
3.
Tighten the screw of the float chamber.
9.3. EMPTYING THE ENGINE OIL
Replace used oil with new oil (see 8.1.);
