Tout matériau inflammable doit être éloigné du groupe motopompe. Veiller à ne pas toucher les parties chaudes du moteur, notamment la partie comprenant le silencieux : risque de brûlures graves.

CONTRÔLE DU NIVEAU D’HUILE POUR MOTEUR ■ Ne jamais ouvrir le bouchon remplissage d’huile (jauge d’huile) lorsque le moteur est en marche. ■ Ne jamais remplir le carter d’huile lorsque le moteur est en marche ou chaud. ■ Ne jamais remplir le carter d’huile en fumant ou si au voisinage, se trouve une flamme vive ou autres conditions susceptibles de provoquer un incendie.

CONTRÔLE DU NIVEAU DE CARBURANT (ESSENCE) ■ Ne jamais ouvrir le bouchon du réservoir lorsque le moteur est en marche ou chaud. ■ Ne jamais remplir le réservoir de carburant lorsque le moteur est en marche ou chaud. ■ Ne jamais remplir le réservoir de carburant en fumant ou si au voisinage, se trouve une flamme vive ou autres conditions susceptibles de provoquer un incendie.

    3.7. POSITIONNEMENT DE LA POMPE Afin d’obtenir de meilleures performances, positionner la pompe à côté du niveau d’eau et utiliser des tuyaux de bonnes longueurs. Cela permettra à la pompe de produire de meilleurs résultats avec un temps d’amorçage minimum. [Fig. 08] Si la hauteur d’aspiration augmente, les performances de la pompe diminuent, la longueur, le type et le diamètre des tuyaux d’aspiration et de refoulement peuvent également engendrer une diminution significative des performances de la pompe.

    2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Never operate the pump near gasoline or gaseous fuel because of the potential danger of explosion or fire. Never fill up the fuel tank with petrol while the engine is running. Do not smoke or use a naked flame near the petrol tank. Be careful not to spill petrol when refueling.
  • Page 35 Please be aware that the recoil starter and the rotating parts can trap hands, hair, clothes or accessories (collars, shoelaces...). NEVER wear loose clothes, jewels or anything that could be caught by the recoil starter or any rotating part. Long hair must be tied or protected by a cap. Remove your jewels. All rotating and possibly noisy parts are protected by devices complying with the Machinery Directive.

CHECK OIL ENGINE LEVEL ■ Never remove the dipstick of the oil sump when the engine is running. ■ Never fill the oil sump up when the engine is running or hot. ■ Never smoke when filling the oil sump up or if, in the vicinity, there are naked flames or if any other conditions are met to start a fire.

    3.7. PUMP PLACEMENT For best pump performance, place the pump set near the water level, and use hoses that are no longer than necessary. That will enable the pump set to produce the greatest output with the least self-priming time. [Fig. 08] As head increases, pump set output decreases, the length, type and size of the suction and discharge hoses can also significantly affect pump output.
