Operation of the
Pedelec Drive
For operation of the bike's functions, please
refer to „General operation". On the handle
bar towards the left there is a control panel for
controlling the auxiliary electrical drive. Here,
the ED 1.2 Pedelec is switched on and off. The
desired drive mode is also activated here. A
four-phase LED at the left displays the battery
charge status, i.e., the remaining capacity.

drive battery status
Press the switch "ON/OFF" to switch the system
on. Up to four LEDs light up to indicate the drive
battery status. The lower can be used to activate
the 4 modes. It limits the driving power and
helps significantly to spare battery capacity.
The auxiliary drive of the Pedelec starts
automatically after half a pedal rotation. Thus
the Pedelec complies completely with the
European standard for this vehicle type.

Recommended manner of driving:

After activating the system, select the drive
mode and set the Pedelec in motion by
pedaling. At gradual ascents, the Pedelec
should be pushed gently on foot so that the
motor does not have to gain force from zero
rotation. Otherwise, it would draw a lot of
power and would not develop any appreciable
propulsion between 0 to 3 km/h.
To increase the mileage, you should also apply
force on the pedals in all driving situations,
because if you drive with motor power only,
the performance of the system remains
conspicuously below its possibilities. The
activation of the "1 - 4 Mode" restricts the max.
operating-power level, which saves battery
capacity.

Operational range and its factors

The range that can be attained with a fully
charged battery is dependent upon additional
factors such as incline, headwind, condition of
road surface, tire pressure, use of gears as well
as the pedal assistance and the weight of the
driver. Typical distance with an average use of
pedal assistance and a fully charged battery
ranges between 20 and 70 km according to the
mode selected.
