Installation instructions
Installation and repair of the heating may only be car-
ried out by a specialist. Read the installation instructions
carefully before work and follow them.
Non-compliance with installation instructions or
incorrect installation can result in endangerment
of persons and property.

Intended use

This heating is constructed for installation in caravans and
other trailers. The heater S 3004 / S 3004 P is also suitable for
installation in motorcaravans. Installation in boats is not per-
mitted. Other applications are possible after consulting Truma.

S 3004 / S 3004 P

The heater S 3004 / S 3004 P is approved for installation in
powered vehicles (motorcaravans - vehicle classification M1)
for the transportation of persons with a maximum of 8 seats
apart from the driver's seat as well as the trailers (caravans -
vehicle classification 0).
Installation inside motorised coaches (vehicle classifica-
tion M2 and M3) as well as in vehicles for the transpor-
tation of dangerous goods is not permitted.
Installation in special vehicles, the valid regulations must be
considered.

S 5004

The heater S 5004 is approved for installation in trailers
(caravans - vehicle classification 0).
Installation inside motorcaravans (vehicle classification
in M1) and motorised coaches (vehicle classification M2
and M3) as well as in vehicles for the transportation of
dangerous goods is not permitted.
Installation in special vehicles, the valid regulations must be
considered.

Heating during the journey

Directive 2004/78/EC stipulates that a safety shut-off device
is required if motor homes are being heated while driving.
The Truma gas pressure control systems SecuMotion /
MonoControl CS satisfy these requirements.
The installation of a safety shut-off device, such as e.g. the gas
pressure control system Truma SecuMotion / MonoControl CS
with the correct gas installation configuration, means that the
operation of a type-approved liquid gas heating system when
the vehicle is on the move is approved throughout Europe in
accordance with the EC Directive 2001/56/EC.
The safety shut-off device is also recommended for safety -
reasons if caravans are being heated while driving.
