5.3- DAB operation
Enter DAB mode
• Press the MODE button, the display will show 4 modes on the screen: DAB – FM –
BLUETOOTH – AUX.
• Select DAB mode and press OK button on the selection wheel (5) to confirm your choice.
• To enter the setup menu, press INFO/MENU button: FULL SCAN > MANUAL TUNE >
DRC > PRUNE > PRESET > SYSTEM.
DAB auto scan
• Select FULL SCAN in the setup menu, then user can completely erase all stored stations and to
re-tune.
• All channels found will be displayed in alphabetical order.
Manual tuning
• This option allows user to re-tune an individual frequency without performing full scan.
• Select MANUAL TUNE in the setup menu and press OK on the selection wheel (5) to enter a
sub-menu that listing out all stored DAB stations.
• User can scroll through the list and highlight the frequency in concern, then press OK on the
selection wheel (5) to start tuning.
• Use the , keys and OK button on the selection wheel (5) in the adjustment.
DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)
• This feature is used to reduce the dynamic range of the audio signal, the purpose is to increase
the loudness of the quieter parts of the audio signal, and decreasing the loudness of the louder
parts.
• Select DRC in the setup menu and choose appropriate the DRC level: DRC OFF / DRC LOW /
DRC HIGH.
Pruning
• This feature is to remove any unwanted DAB stations from the stored memory.
• Once an unwanted station is selected, select PRUNE in the setup menu, then choose "YES" or
"NO" to proceed the removal.
• Use the , keys and OK button on the selection wheel (5) in the operation.
Storing DAB stations
• User can store up to 30 favourite DAB stations to the memory.
• To store a preset, user must firstly tune to the station that would like to save.
• Press and hold PRESET key from the panel (4) until the PRESET STORE is displayed.
• Use the and keys to select a preset memory location, then press OK button on the
selection wheel (5) to confirm.
Recall a stored station
• Once there are preset stations saved, user can recall it by pressing PRESET key from the panel
(4).
• Use the and keys to select a preset station, then press OK button on the selection wheel
(5) to play.
