Setting a User Profi le
Before the scales can calculate your body fat and water content and the content of bone
and muscle mass as well as your BMI and daily calorie demand, the following details
need to be saved in your user profi le: Gender, height, age. You have the option of saving
up to 10 user profi les.
The user profi le is entered using the buttons on the scales display:
Increase a value
Reduce a value
SET
Start of programming mode; confi rmation of the selected value and switch to
the next parameter
1. Press the SET button to switch on the programming mode. The profi le number fl ash-
es. Use the  and  buttons to select your desired profi le (p0 to p9). Press the SET
button to confi rm your choice and to move on to the next parameter.
2. The symbol for 'male' will fl ash. If necessary, use the  or  button to switch to the
symbol for 'female'. Confi rm your choice by pressing the SET button.
3. "Age" will now fl ash on the display. You can now enter your age. Use the  and 
buttons to set your age (from 10 to 80 years) and confi rm your choice by pressing
the SET button.
4. Finally, the value for your height will fl ash. Use the  and  buttons to set your
height (from 100 to 240 cm or from 3' 3.4" to 7'10.5") and confi rm your choice by
pressing the SET button.
You can exit the programming mode by pressing the SET button after entering
your height. As soon as '0.0' kg (or lb or st) appears on the display, you can
weigh yourself. You can use the  buttons to change the unit of weight (see
the "Setting the Weight and Height Unit" chapter).
If you wish to enter the parameters for another person, wait until the device
has automatically switched itself off and then press the SET button again. The
profi le number starts to fl ash. Use the  or  button to select a new profi le and
repeat steps 2 – 4.

❐ The measurement results which are calculated are only reference values and act
as a guideline. You are explicitly advised against using the results as the basis for
any form of medical treatment or diet! You must consult your doctor if you have any
questions about your weight, a medical treatment or a diet.
1. Place the scales on a dry, even, and fi rm base (avoid carpets). Uneven fl oors will
result in inaccurate measurement results.
2. Press the SET button to switch on the scales. The profi le number of the last user will
fl ash up. Use the  and  buttons to select your profi le.
3. Wait until the display shows '0.0' kg (or lb or st : lb).
