AUDIO LEVEL REC (audio recording level) controls (outer controls)
Use these controls to adjust incoming audio level on channels 1 and 2. In the E-E
mode, at the highest recording level, adjust the controls so that the readings of the
AUDIO meters @ are nearly zero.
HEADPHONES jack (phono jack) and volume control
Connect 8 ohm stereo headphones to monitor the audio signal in the record, playback
or edit mode.
Adjust the volume with this control.
VIDEO LEVEL (video recording level) control
With the VIDEO LEVEL selector @ set to MANUAL, adjust the level of the incoming
video signal in the E-E mode so that the pointer on the VIDEO meter @ is placed
within the blue zone. Recording or editing will be made at this level.
TRACKING
control
Normally, set to the position marked FIXED. With this control, videohead-to-tape
tracking can be controlled during playback.
If noise appears in the playback picture, rotate this control for a maximum
reading of
the VIDEO meter @. After playing back the tape or when editing, be sure to place this
control at FIXED.
