Also break the first connection while as far away from the battery as physically possible.
The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged the appliance should be safely disposed.
Examine the battery charger regularly for damage, especially the cord, plug and enclosure.
If the battery charger is damaged, it must not be used until it has been repaired.
