Filling the pump
Before putting your domestic water pump
into operation, you must fill the pump with
water until it overflows to achieve full suction po-
wer. Do not operate the pump while it is dry, be-
cause this will cause serious damage to the pump.
• Remove the filler screw (3).
• Pour water into the opening until the the pump
is full to overflowing.
The suction hose will not be filled with wa-
ter because of the built-in non-return valve
(2).
• Replace the filler screw and tighten it.
Switching on the device
• Open the pressure line (open valve, sprayer,
tap, etc.) to release any air trapped in the hose.
• Plug the electric cable into the socket. The pump
will automatically begin to run.
The pump will then start and run for 2 minu-
tes. It will stop automatically to release air bubbles
and then restart.
If the pump does not remain in continuous opera-
tion after three start-ups, please check all of the
connections and the pump filling for leaks.
• As soon as the flow of water is cleared of air
bubbles trapped in the line, close the pressure
line. After approx. 15 seconds, the pump will
auto-matically switch off. Your domestic water
pump is now ready for operation.

• Set up and switch on the pump as set out in the
instructions (Setting up and Operating the De-
vice).
Your domestic water pump is electronically con-
trolled and will run automatically if set up correctly
and switched on.
The device is equipped with the following
functions:
Protection against dry operation
If there is no liquid left in the pump, the de-
vice will automatically switch off after approx. 45
seconds. The red alarm LED (9) on the display
will begin to blink.
Protection agaist repeated starting of the pump
due to leakages in the pressure hose
If there is a leak in the pressure hose, the pump
will continue to operate even if no water is being
drawn. Even the slightest leak (a few ml) can cau-
se pressure failure that can start the pump.
12
If a leak is detected but not rectified, the pump will
automatically disconnect after 40 cycles. This is
indicated on the flow rate display where only one
of the LED's will flash continually. To restart the
pump, unplug and then plug in again.
Automatic restart
The pump will try to restart automatically three
times:
– after one hour
– after five hours
– after 20 hours.
If the pump is still dry after 20 hours, it remains
switched off. The red alarm LED (9) stops flashing
and burns continuously.
To restart the pump:
• Unplug the electric cable.
• Check the water supply at the pump inlet.
• Start the pump as set out in the instructions
(Setting up and Operating the Device).
To start the pump manually between the au-
tomatic restarts, press the reset button (6).
Manual restart
• Check the suction hose, pump inlet and the wa-
ter level.
• Start the pump by pressing the reset button (6).
Switching off the pump
• Unplug the electric cable from the socket to
switch off the pump.
