Operation

Starting the unit

When starting the unit, observe the precautions described from Page 4 in the section "For safe use of your product"
to ensure that you operate the product correctly.
Failure to observe the precautions could cause an accident or injury, or even lead to a fatality.

Operation
1.
Remove blade cover.
2.
Push power button once to turn on power to unit.
NOTE
Power indicator LED illuminates when power to unit is
turned on.

Hold the hedge trimmer by both handles. The interlock
switch on the front handle must be engaged for the hedge
trimmer to start and/or continue to run.
4.
Hold down trigger switch lockout and depress trigger switch
to increase blade speed.
IMPORTANT
When power to the unit is turned on:
After one minute of inactivity, unit will power itself off.
If the LED remains lit, operation is normal.
If the LED flashes once per second, the battery needs to be
charged.
If the LED flashes four times per second, there is a fault with-
in the product. Turn power off to unit. Remove battery. Clear
debris from around blades. Install battery. Turn power on to
unit. If flashing continues, have your authorized servicing
dealer repair the product.

Release trigger switch and trigger switch lockout, and allow
blades to stop.
2.
Push power button to turn off power to unit.
NOTE
Power indicator LED turns off when power to unit is turned
off.
∗ If the power button does not stop the hedge trimmer, remove
the battery to stop the power supply to hedge trimmer. Have
your authorized ECHO servicing dealer repair power button
before using hedge trimmer again. If the blades do not stop
when the trigger switch, trigger switch lockout, and interlock
switch are released, remove the battery to stop the power sup-
ply to hedge trimmer. Have your authorized ECHO servicing
dealer repair unit before using again.
