3. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket which
corresponds to the technical data of the device. The display (15) lights up and the
time display fl ashes.

Setting the Time

As soon as the mains plug is plugged into a plug socket, the display (15) turns on and the
time display 12:00 fl ashes. The clock has a 24-hour time format.
1. Set the hours by pressing the STUNDE (HOUR) button (10).
2. Set the minutes by pressing the Minute button (9).
To run through the numbers quickly, hold down the respective button.

Making Coffee

PLEASE NOTE!
Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use drinking water to
make coffee!
Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach
the 2 Cups mark on the water tank scale.
1. Flip open the water tank lid (1).
2. Fill the jug (5) with drinking water up to the number of cups you want and then pour
this into the water tank (3).
3. Place the empty jug (with the lid closed) onto the hotplate (6).
4. Insert the fi lter holder (16) into the coffee machine. Its handle must be located in the
appropriate recess.
5. Insert the permanent fi lter (17) into the fi lter holder.
6. Pour coffee powder into the permanent fi lter. Do not overfi ll it!
7. Flip the water tank lid shut. It must click audibly into place.
8. Press the AN / AUS (ON / OFF) button (13).
The operating lamp (14) starts to light up red. The brewing process is started. Once
all of the water has run out of the water tank, the coffee is ready and can be served.
The hotplate will remain hot for around 40 minutes after the brewing process to keep
the coffee warm. It is then switched off automatically and the operating lamp goes
out. Do not place an empty jug on the hot hotplate! It could be damaged.
9. To stop the brewing process, press the AN / AUS (ON / OFF) button again. The op-
erating lamp goes out.
Drip Stop
The jug can be removed from the coffee machine during the brewing process for 30
seconds to pour a cup of coffee. The drip stop on the coffee outlet (4) prevents the coffee
from dripping onto the hotplate when the jug is not inserted.
However, the jug must be placed back on the hotplate within 30 seconds so that
the permanent fi lter (17) does not overfl ow.
