HOW TO USE Prostop 6 SE and Prostop 10 SE
Follow step 1 to step 2 to use this device.
1. connect the anchoring eye of the block to a suitable anchor point, preferably
located above the user. or right behind the user. make sure the carabiner is closed.
2. attach the hook at the end of the cable to the D ring on the harness and the user
can now work safely.
In the event of a fall, the block will block and the shock of a fall will be absorbed by
the shock absorber, both for vertical and horizontal work.
WARNING:
1.
Make sure that the user's medical condition does not affect his safety in normal and
emergency use.
2.
The fall arrest block should only be used by a person trained and competent in its
safe use.
3.
A rescue plan is available to deal with any emergencies that might arise on the job.
4.
Do not make any changes or additions to the fall arrest block without the prior written
consent of the manufacturer. any repairs may only be carried out by personnel
trained by the manufacturer.
5.
The fall arrest block must not be used outside the boundary or for any purpose other
than that for which it is intended.
ADVICE & INFORMATION:
- The fall arrest block must belong to the personal tools of the user.
- Make sure the fall arrest block is compatible with other items when mounted in a
system.
- Use with other incompatible items may be dangerous as the safe operation of one
item may be affected or may affect the safe function of another.
- The user must perform a pre-use check of the fall arrest block to ensure it is in
serviceable condition and working properly before use.
- The pre-use check includes checking for wear or abrasion on cables/straps and
signs of corrosion, if any, on metal parts or cracks in the housing.
- Stop using the fall arrest block if there is any doubt about its safe condition or if it
has already stopped a fall, the fall arrest block must first be inspected by an
authorized person appointed by the manufacturer.
- Make sure that the fall arrest block is stronger than 12 kN.
- Use the EN 362 carabiner to connect to the anchor points.
- It is recommended to use the back D-ring on the harness for connection to the fall
arrest block
- However, if for some reason it is not possible, the D-ring on the chest can also be
used.
