• Before you connect the product, select the desired mode with the sliding switch on the underside.
• Next, connect the wall plug transformer to the mini router and connect it to the power supply plug.
Auto Mode (Router)
a) Connection
b) Connecting to the Mini Router
c) Web Interface
In Auto Mode the product can be used as a WLAN router for DSL, cable connection or with fi xed IP address.
In this case, the DSL or cable modem must be connected to the LAN port.
Because the device has only one LAN port, the confi guration must necessarily occur here over WLAN.
The IP address of the device in this mode is 192.168.111.1.
The AP mode is used exclusively for expanding an existing network. The mini router is here connected
to your existing router with a network cable attached 1:1. The device thus provides an additional WLAN
network.
Here, too, the confi guration must take place via WLAN.
The standard IP address for use as an access point is 192.168.1.250.
In Converter Mode, the device functions as a WLAN adapter. In other words, the mini router is registered
by your existing router via WLAN. All desired network devices, such as a game console, a NAS or some-
thing similar, can then be connected to the LAN port.
In this mode, the confi guration takes place via the RJ45 connection.
The IP address here is 192.168.1.249.
Caution! Before you change the mode, you must fi rst disconnect the product from the power
supply. Disconnect the wall plug transformer from the mains socket.
If you later wish to change the mode yet again, reset the product to the factory settings fi rst.
encrypted with WPA2, which is "ap-pc-xxxxxx". The other network is encrypted only with WEP. This is
"ap-game-xxxxxx" and is mainly intended for game consoles. The "xxxxxx" differs depending on the router
and is printed on the underside.
If you want to use the mini router only with devices that are controlled by the WPA2 encryption,
we recommend that you either deactivate the SSID "ap-game-xxxxxx" or increase the encryption
to WPA2.
Both WLAN SSIDs and also both network keys are printed on the underside of the device.
mini router (LAN or WLAN), the device can always be activated via the same address.
This is „http://mf.setup/". Alternatively, you can also use the corresponding IP address.
The username is always "admin" and the password "password."
that the IP address of the appropriate network connection is automatically applied. This is normally the
standard setting.
You can alter this setting in the Properties of the LAN connection or wireless network connection under the
point Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
First connect the mini router with a 1:1 network cable to your DSL or cable modem and switch this on.
Next you must connect your computer to the WLAN of the mini router.
You can do this in two different ways, either with the help of the WPS function, if this is supported by your
WLAN adapter, or manually with the Windows search function.
To connect the computer with WPS, proceed as follows. Press the WPS button of the mini router for about
3 seconds, until the WPS LED begins to blink slowly. Then press the WPS knob on your WLAN adapter or
start the WPS search in your WLAN assistant.
To manually connect your PC to the router, left-click on the WLAN symbol in the Windows task bar to show
available WLAN networks. Connect your computer with the SSID "ap-pc-xxxxxx" and enter the password
that is printed on the underside of the device next to the SSID.
As soon as the connection is made, open your Internet browser and type http://mf.setup/ in the address
bar.
In the dialogue box, enter the username "admin" and the password "password". Now the web interface of
the router should be shown.
