Miter Saw Mounting
NOTE: Prior to assembling your saw to the Miter Saw Stand, unplug
the saw, lock the saw head in the down position
1. Place saw in operational position with blade
facing you. Align with label on the bracket
showing front.
2. Place a spacer, such as a 2 x 4, under one
side of the miter saw to hold the saw's
mounting feet above the work surface.
3. Hold a mounting bracket under the saw and
feed a carriage bolt (hardware bag) up
through the bracket and the foot of the saw.
NOTE: An extra carriage bolt with a 1-1/2"
length has been provided for use as the for-
ward right bolt for certain miter saws; these as
the DW708 and DW712 where clearance with
the table is needed.
4. Thread a nut onto the carriage bolt (hard-
ware bag) to hold it in place.
5. Feed another carriage bolt through the other
end of the bracket and through the foot.
6. Thread a nut onto the carriage bolt to hold it
in place.
7. Move the 2 x 4 to the other side of the saw to
hold the other end of the saw up in order to
access the saw feet.
8. Feed carriage bolts through the other bracket and the feet of the
saw as before. Ensure both brackets are parallel to each other,
then tighten all four nuts finger tight to hold the brackets in place.
9. To place the saw onto the stand, grasp and lift saw and mounting
bracket assembly by the Release Levers. These levers do not
lock the saw in place, merely serve as a means of mounting the
saw to the beam.
10. Approach the beam with saw/bracket assembly tilting toward your
body slightly. Engage the concave front lip of the mounting bracket
with rounded edge of beam. One of the brackets must engage the
locator clip (G) to prohibit lateral movement of the saw during use.
11. When front edge of the beam and locking locator clip are engaged,
a slight downward pivot will allow secure engagement of the rear
levers to back of beam. Rock the saw gently on the brackets to
verify locking in position.
12. If adjustment of the saw position is necessary, loosen the four bolts
and adjust. Ensure that the saw is square with the brackets.
13. Tighten the four nuts holding the saw to the brackets securely.
14. Review and understand the operator's instruction manual before
using the miter saw.
NOTE: The miter saw must be positioned on the tool mount so
that all four corners can be bolted to the mounting brackets. If this
is not possible, please call D

NOTE: If your saw has mounting holes that do not line up with the
slots in the mounting brackets, mount the saw to a piece of 1/2"
plywood and drill holes to match the slots in the brackets. Ensure
that the bolts do not protrude above the table of the miter saw so
as not to interfere with cutting operation. Other hardware (not
supplied) may be necessary under these circumstances.
NOTE: If your saw has mounting holes that do not line up with the
slots in the mounting brackets and the method of utilizing plywood
does not accommodate your saw, please call 1-800-4-D
additional hardware to install your miter saw.
