Electrical connection of the door intercom (Fig. F)
You have the option of continuing to use your existing door bell. Join the existing connec-
tions to the "BELL" terminals. If it is not possible to establish a connection via the bell
transformer, use the supplied additional battery box (C). For this you will need 6 x 1.5V AA
batteries.
If you use a bell transformer as the voltage supply, only a device that complies with the
relevant norms, with an output voltage of between 8 and 24V AC may be used.
Assembly may only be performed by a qualified professional in
observance of the relevant technical norms (VDE-Germany).
Disconnect the bell transformer before beginning work on installati-
on by switching off the mains fuse. Caution: risk of electric shock!
Check whether the connecting cable is free of voltage.
Electrical connection of the mobile handset (Fig. G)
The mobile handset can alternatively by powered with the 9 V mains connector (D). The
mains connector also acts as a recharger for rechargeable batteries.
Set the switch to "BAT" for alkaline batteries or to "CHARGE" for
rechargeable batteries.
Switching on for the first time / regular operation
Set the door intercom and the mobile handset to the same radio channel (Fig. HΠ).
Switch the mobile handset on (Fig. H ). The mobile handset (Fig. I) is called by pressing
the bell button (17) of the door intercom, the connection is for max. 95 sec. open. Voice
contact is at present only possible in one direction. Please note that it is not possible to
switch on the door intercom from the mobile hand set. Simultaneous listening and spea-
king is not supported.
Red light = Ready + listen (receive)
Green light = speak (transmit)
When the speak button (3) is pressed on the mobile handset, the door inter-
com is switched to receive, regardless of whether the visitor is actually
speaking.
The door opener contact is activated by simultaneous pressing of the talk button (3) and
the door opener button (11). The door opener contact of the door handset can only acti-
vated via the supplied mobile handset. It is not possible to open your door with another
mobile handset due to the unique coding.
Service and disposal
The radio entryphone system is largely maintenance free apart from replacement of the
batteries.
If repairs are required, have them be carried out by a qualified professional / at an authori-
sed workshop.
Dispose of the product according to legal requirements. Make sure that you remove the
(rechargeable) batteries beforehand.
