ITR-69 - Electronic thermostat for distributor installation (1TE)
ITR-69
ITR-69 is an electronic thermostat to be mounted on a DIN rail with 1 TE, which enables a phased (L1, L2 or L3) re-
duction in temperature.It also enables the connection accuracy of the heating to be selected using rotary switch P1.
The temperature is normally set using rotary switch P2 (the middle switch). The setting range temperature is
between 0-60 °C. Here, the temperature is regulated using modulation. The connection accuracy of 0.5-2.5 °C is
regulated by the rotary switch P1 (the upper rotary switch).
LED 1 lights up green when the heating is not switched on and red when it is switched on.
Should you want a lower temperature, during the day or at night time, Connection Number 2, which is marked with
the clock symbol, generates a control voltage which causes the control system to switch to control of the temper-
ature setting using rotary switch P3 (the lower rotary switch), while the connection accuracy remains the same.
The lowest LED on the left then lights yellow, indicating that the temperature drop is switched on.
The thermostat switches back to control using the normal setting when the temperature drop control voltage is
switched off.
Connection accuracy (rotary switch P1) refers to the temperature deviation which is permitted from the actual
temperature before the device reacts. It does so by either switching the heating on or off.
LED 1 also functions as a sensor failure indicator. LED 1 flashes red when the sensor circuit is faulty or short-cir-
cuited.
When the LED flashes red, please contact your installation company or electrical engineer to clarify this fault.
The device's backup fuse can take a maximum of 16 A and also requires the use of a 30 mA residual current circuit
breaker for personal protection.
The temperature can be limited for both temperature ranges by moving the metal pin inside the control knob from
Position 1 to the hole in Position 2. The temperature is now limited to 27°C.
Further installation:
The floor heating sensor included in the scope of delivery of the device comes in a standard length of 8 m, and is
installed in a protective sleeve in the floor. The protective tube must be carefully installed in the cast flooring so
that the end of the protective tube lies in the middle between the 2 parallel heating cables, at the same height
(depth) as the heating cable.
