➤ Place the required amount of coffee for the number of cups to be brewed
in the filter.
NOTICE!
A
Position the pot with its lid under the filter holder. If the lid is not on,
the drip protection stays closed and the coffee filter will overflow.
➤ Place the coffee pot under the filter holder. This opens the drip protection
mechanism and the water in the water tank can flow through the filter into
the pot.
➤ Press the switch (fig. 2 1, page 2) to start brewing.
✓ The control lamp (fig. 2 2, page 2) lights up red while the coffee is brew-
ing.
➤ After brewing, wait for about one minute until the filter has stopped drip-
ping through.
➤ Once the coffee is made, swing out the filter compartment and remove the
filter with paper filter.

Before you clean the appliance, disconnect it from the DC power
supply.
NOTICE! Beware of damage
A
 Never clean the appliance under running water or in dishwater.
 Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during
cleaning as these can damage the appliance.
 Do not use hydrochloric or sulphuric acid for descaling.
➤ Remove the filter holder after use and rinse it under the tap.
➤ From time to time, rinse the water tank under the tap. Remove the water
tank to do this.
➤ Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.
➤ Descale the appliance regularly (after about 30–40 uses) using a stand-
ard decalcifier. Use it according to the manufacturer's specifications.
